The 1920-era Vauxhall 14-40 Princeton Tourer is a highly regarded vintage British automobile. Approximately 3500 cars were produced. Owned by the operators of the Launceston Steam Railway in Cornwall, this is a stellar example of the ‘LM’ specification featuring a 4-cylinder engine and classic, open touring coachwork. Introduced at the London Motor Show, the 14-40 series replaced the more expensive D-Type. Designed by Clarence King, early M-Type models debuted in 1922. By 1924, the upgraded ‘LM’ series was introduced.
