Las Playitas, Fuerteventura, is a small traditional Canarian village in the Municipality of Tuineje on on the east coast of Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. Overlooking the north part of the beach and the small fishing harbour sits the traditional village of about 700 inhabitants and is built on the hillside featuring many white old buildings. The nearest main town is Gran Tarajal.
To the north is the Entallada Lighthouse standing on a 200m cliff and this is the closest point of the Canary Islands to the African coast, some 100km away.
Nearby is a holiday resort with two modern hotel complexes hosting an exceptional range of sporting facilities suitable for triathletes and would be Olympic swimmers.
