This historical half timbered building dates from the 16th century. The building is on the left in the picture at No.9 on the Rue du Coignet looking down towards the Rue Haute Voie, all located in the medieval area of Dinan. It is just some 50m from the Basilica Saint Saveur, an historical building itself dating from 1123 AD.
Dinan is situated on a hillside overlooking the river Rance. The medieval town has many fine old buildings some of which date from the 13th century. The town retains a large section of the city walls, part of which can be walked round.
